Free visual inspection and a written scope of work before any mitigation begins - photos, moisture readings, and drying logs go in your claim file
The scope we write is the scope we bill. Anything new gets shown to you, in writing, before we touch it.
Training & Ongoing Support
You don’t need to know how to pull baseboard or read a moisture map to own a Marsh Water Damage Restoration franchise. What you need is the willingness to run a business the right way, and we’ll teach you the rest. Since 2005, the Threshold Group family has refined an onboarding system that moves new owners from day-one orientation to running live jobs with confidence. The training is built so someone who’s never touched a water extractor can open their doors and dispatch a Threshold Verified crew within weeks, not months. You’ll learn the trade, the operations, and the standards. We’ve done the trial-and-error so you don’t have to.
Initial Training
Your first week of training happens at our training facility, where you’ll spend hands-on time with the actual equipment you’ll deploy on jobs: Dri-Eaz and Phoenix air movers, XPOWER and B-Air dehumidifiers, Injectidry drying systems. You won’t just read about them. You’ll run them. You’ll learn how a moisture meter reads a wall cavity, why a psychrometric reading tells you the drying plan, and what a technician should look for when water travels behind baseboards into places you can’t see. Don’t worry if those words are new to you today. We teach them in plain language, the way Tobias Reyner, our Lead Restoration Technician, explains things on a job site: clear, unhurried, no degree required.
Beyond the trade, onboarding covers the business systems that keep a restoration company running. You’ll learn our scheduling software, how written pricing is built before any work starts, and how to hire people who will pass the Threshold Standard background check and identity verification. We walk you through local marketing: how to get your name in front of homeowners before the pipe bursts, how to answer the phone, and how to price a job so both you and the customer feel good about it. By the end of initial training, you’ll have a playbook for operations, hiring, marketing, and the restoration trade itself. You’ll leave with the same checklists, forms, and written-price templates every Marsh location uses.
Launch Support
Opening the doors isn’t the hard part. Getting the first calls is. That’s where launch support earns its keep. Before your first day, our team helps you set up your local marketing foundation: your Google Business Profile, your service-area pages, your online presence built around the Marsh name and the trust signals that come with it. We help you position the moats properly: the 365-Day Done Right Promise, no-hassle upfront pricing, background-checked uniformed technicians, and calls answered by a live person 24/7. Those are your first sales tools, and we show you how to use them.
Once the phone rings, launch support shifts to first-jobs coaching. Your first water loss might feel overwhelming. A basement full of water, a homeowner who’s never dealt with this, insurance questions. You’ll have a coach on call who’s handled hundreds of these. We help you scope the job, write the price, dispatch the right equipment, and talk to the adjuster. The goal is simple: your first jobs are done to the Threshold Standard, even if you’re still learning. That’s how the 365-Day Done Right Promise stays meaningful from day one.
Ongoing Support
Support doesn’t end after launch. Marsh franchise owners get continuous backing from the Threshold Group team. Here’s what that looks like:
- Field coaching and technical support: When you hit a weird drying situation, call the team. Our IICRC-, RIA-, and IFA-credentialed technicians will walk you through the drying plan, the equipment setup, and the monitoring schedule. You’re never guessing on a live job.
- Marketing playbooks updated quarterly: Local SEO, paid search, door hangers, community partnerships. We keep the playbook current and we show you exactly what to run, when to run it, and how to measure whether it worked.
- Vendor relationships and equipment pricing: You get access to the buying power of a larger group. Dri-Eaz, Phoenix, XPOWER, B-Air, Injectidry. You pay group rates, not solo-operator rates.
- Technology and software support: Scheduling, job documentation, photo capture for insurance files, written-price generation. Our systems are built for restoration work, and we train you on every update.
- National brand campaigns: The Threshold Group runs brand-level awareness work that benefits every location. When homeowners in your area search for water damage help, the Marsh name carries weight before your local ad ever shows up.
- Recurring owner training sessions: Regional meetups, quarterly calls, and refresher courses on new equipment or changing industry standards. The restoration trade evolves. Your training keeps pace.
